Oncology at Aspen Europe

At Aspen we understand that cancer is not one disease, but many. The category of medicine known as ‘oncology’ includes more than 200 types of tumour and disease.[1] And of course, the way every individual experiences cancer is different too.

In Europe, Aspen is committed to providing high quality, effective, affordable chemotherapy agents that help oncologists treat different types of cancer, including some types of leukaemia and other blood-related disorders.

Chemotherapy is a medicine designed to kill cancer cells. It is used to treat both solid tumours and blood cancers.

In Europe there are currently are more than 100 different chemotherapy medicines available, with new ones being developed all the time.[2]

Chemotherapy may be given as a single drug or as part of a combination of medicines and treatments including radiotherapy, surgery, hormone therapy and biological therapies.

The type of treatment given depends on the individual patient and the type of cancer that they have.
