Anaesthesia
Anaesthetics are used worldwide in major and local surgical procedures as well as clinical situations requiring less pain control.
Our portfolio covers medicine used in induction and maintenance of general anaesthesia (including opioids used in controlling pain in the postoperative period), muscle relaxants facilitating endotracheal intubation and controlled ventilation during surgeries. Our drugs are used for regional anaesthesia (IV drugs) and local anaesthesia (creams and patches).*

General Anaesthesia

General anaesthesia is a reversable, pharmacologically induced state of controlled loss of consciousness and reflexes. Applied in patients who require to undergo a surgical procedure.
General anaesthesia always involves a hypnotic agent, an analgesic and may also include muscle relaxant. This combination is referred to as the triad of anaesthesia.*

It mainly includes:
- Spinal Anaesthesia

Topical anaesthesia
Topical anaesthesia is used to treat pain during or after medical procedures without having to use injectable local anaesthetic.
This includes many different forms: i.e. gels, creams, sprays and patches.
Topical anaesthesia works at the site of the skin where applied by reversibly blocking nerve conduction in the area, resulting in a temporary loss of sensation.*
